Looking to make new contacts and find someone knowledgeable in your field? Are you a top-level official interested in guiding recent Mason Schar School grads? Whether you are a recent graduate looking to talk to someone about your career path or mature alum that is willing to guide younger alums, take a look at our Schar School Student and Alumni Mentoring Program.

The Alumni Board is partnering with Career Services to reboot the Mentorship program. Check out details of this program below, and please email if you are interested in serving as a mentor to a current student!

  • ProNet: Schar School Student and Alumni Mentoring Program
    ProNet is a module of the Schar School CareersNow that allows students and alumni to search and connect with mentors from diverse professional backgrounds and a variety of agencies and organizations. Mentors are Schar School alumni who have volunteered to provide students and other alumni with one-on-one career guidance and information.

Linked In: The Schar School LinkedIn Group is a professional online networking resource allowing faculty, students, and alumni to maintain contact with each other. To join go to to request membership to the group.

Mason Career Link: (sponsored jointly by University Career Services and the Office of Alumni Affairs) Mason Career Link connects alumni and other friends of George Mason University with students and alumni interested in learning more about members’ career fields, occupations and employers. You can access Mason Career Link through HireMason, under the Networking tab.

Schar School CareersNow: Through the Schar School online recruitment system, Schar School CareersNow, students can review job and internship positions and connect with employers actively recruiting students and alumni. Schar School CareersNow provides an up-to-date listing of current positions and career events.
