Biography

Isaac Wohl is an industry economist at the U.S. International Trade Commission where he focuses on trade in services.

Since joining the USITC in 2007, he has conducted research on renewable energy, digital trade, multinational service firms, and transport infrastructure in Africa among other topics. He is also an adjunct faculty member at George Mason University’s Schar School of Policy and Government.

Wohl has previously consulted for the World Bank, worked with the Broadmoor Improvement Association to reopen an elementary school in post-Katrina New Orleans, and trained teachers as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Uganda. He holds a master’s degree in public policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and a bachelor’s in mathematics and philosophy from Grinnell College. He is from Charleston, West Virginia.
