Thanks to the generous support of Objective Area Solutions, the Schar School is pleased to offer the Objective Area Solutions Scholarship in Aviation and Policy. This annual scholarship provides support to graduate students in the Schar School who are interested in innovating and shaping aerospace policy, focusing on areas such as emerging technology, infrastructure innovation, and sustainability.
Award Level
Scholarship recipients receive an award of $1,500 toward tuition.
Eligibility
This scholarship is open to graduate students admitted to a Schar School degree program. Recipients may be enrolled full-time or part-time; may be in-state, out-of-state or international students. Recipients must be in good academic standing and must be from a group underrepresented in the aerospace industry. Preference will be given to students with professional working experience within the aerospace industry.
Application Procedures
Students interested in being considered for this award should fill out the application for the OAS Scholarship during the open application period and submit the appropriate supplemental materials to schar@gmu.edu and include the subject line: OAS Scholarship Application.
To Apply:
- Applicants must describe how they meet the requirement of belonging to a group that is underrepresented in the aerospace industry.
- Applicants must also submit a personal resume and a 500-word essay addressing their financial need, focus area of study, and how they envision applying their graduate degree to their career.
