We need your help identifying outstanding alumni from your class year or your professional network who you believe should be recognized for their accomplishments and achievements. Please nominate a graduate for the 2018 Annual Alumni Awards Gala.
All alumni are eligible for recognition. There is no limit to the number of nominations; however, nominations should be submitted by Friday, April 13, 2018. All 2018 awards will be presented at the Annual Alumni Awards Gala “Lost in Lies: Fact Finding in the Social Media Era” on May 10, 2018 featuring Dan Moldea.
Please consider nominating a deserving graduate for one of these two awards:
- The Distinguished Alumnus of the Year Award honors graduates (10 or more years post-graduation) who have made a lasting impact on society though outstanding professional, voluntary or philanthropic accomplishments.
- The Rising Star Award recognizes a recent graduate (within 10 years) whose exemplary contributions of service and leadership, either professionally or at Schar School of Policy and Government, have distinguished themselves and demonstrate promise of even greater achievements.
Award Honorees are selected each year by members of the Alumni Chapter’s Alumni Awards Gala Committee for confirmation by the Alumni Chapter. Selected Award Honorees are informed of their nominations and selections by the Director of Development & Alumni Relations, and their acceptance of the awards is then confirmed. After all Award Honorees are confirmed, nominators are informed of their candidates' status. Nominations can be submitted on-line by the population at large.
