Master of Public Policy
Layla Bonnot currently works on state education policy issues at the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO). Ms. Bonnot graduated from the Master of Public Policy (MPP) program at George Mason University's Schar School of Policy and Government in May 2012, with an emphasis in education policy. While at George Mason University, she served as a Student Ambassador, an International Student Liaison, and was the Secretary for the New Voices in Public Policy journal. She currently serves as the Secretary on the Schar School Alumni Association Board and leads the Student Support Committee that strives to connect alums with the needs of prospective and current students as well as new alumni.
Prior to Mason, Ms. Bonnot was a consultant for four years at various agencies of the Federal government including Department of Energy, Veterans’ Affairs, and Homeland Security. She graduated from the College of William and Mary with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2006. In her free time, she enjoys scuba diving, traveling, and cooking.
