The transition to a new administration can be a time of shifting national priorities and leadership styles. The January 20, 2021 Inauguration of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will be no exception. With political polarization, legislative gridlock, shifting international relationships, the novel influence of nontraditional media, and the need to manage a global pandemic, the next occupants of the White House have their work cut out for them.
Join Schar School experts in American government and politics for a live post-Inauguration discussion of the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for President-Elect Joe Biden and Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris, and for the nation. Participants will hear from professors Jeremy Mayer, Robert McGrath, and Jennifer Victor, and will have an opportunity to engage with the panelists as well as with current Schar School students.
This interactive event will give you the unique opportunity to meet faculty and student representatives from the Schar School of Policy and Government at George Mason University. This is a chance to gain an insider perspective on life as a Mason student and a Schar School major!
