Biography
Majid Asadnabizadeh works at the Institute of International Political Relations at UMCS in Poland, where he researches and teaches in the fields of international relations, climate policy, climate negotiations, energy, and carbon negotiations.
He is the author of several books including The Study of the USA Environmental Policies from 1990 to 2012, in which he analyses the position of Democrats and Republicans on environmental issues in the United States. He is the author of several scientific articles including "The Status of Climate Change in Donald Trump's Foreign Policy," published in scientific journals in the United States, and "Status of the Impacts of Extreme Climate Events at the UN Climate Change Conference (Cop25)" in collaboration with the University of Illinois in the United States.
In 2022, Asadnabizadeh was a visiting researcher at the Central European University in the Department of Environmental Science and Policy and an expert reviewer for the Synthesis Report (SYR) of the Sixth Assessment Report (AR6) of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) 2022-23 and published his findings in the International Journal of Climate Change Strategies and Management under the title: "Critical findings of the IPCC sixth assessment report (AR6) of Working Group I for global climate change policymaking (GCCPM): A Summary for Policymakers (SPM) analysis" by 2023. In 2024, he was a guest professor at Link Campus University in Rome, Italy, where he gave a lecture to international students on climate change and the energy transition in the MENA region.
He is also a reviewer for the Journal of Politics and Law, Canadian Centre of Science and Education, Canada.
