Biography
Steve currently leads the organization development, leadership development and coaching efforts for the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). He has more than 30 years’ experience advising, consulting, and coaching senior leaders.
Steve has more than 20 years’ teaching and facilitation experience as Adjunct Faculty at George Mason University and American University. At George Mason University he has taught two courses on Organizational Learning and served as a Team Learning facilitator. At American University he taught two courses, Becoming a Learning Community and Financial Management for OD Professionals. For more than two decades, he also served as Learning Community Facilitator, Practicum Advisor and Teaching Assistant in the American University Master of Science in Organization Development (AU MSOD) Program. At NIAID, he has received five Distinguished Service Awards and a Merit Award in recognition for his work designing and facilitating 75+ leadership development programs and workshops for various NIAID divisions, programs and offices.
Prior to joining NIAID, he served in various senior leadership roles at the NTL Institute for Applied Behavioral Science, including Interim President and CEO. As a professional NTL member for 25 years, Steve has facilitated NTL human interaction and leadership programs. While with Ernst & Young, Steve audited corporations, government agencies and national and local non-profits.
