The Schar School of Policy and Government is pleased to offer $250,000 in scholarships, through the Diana Davis Spencer Foundation Scholarship, to eligible master's students admitted to a security studies-related program in the Schar School for the Spring 2021 semester.
The Diana Davis Spencer Foundation Scholarship is available due to the generous financial support of the Diana Davis Spencer Foundation, whose mission is to promote national security, entrepreneurship, and enhance quality of life by supporting education and global understanding. This scholarship is intended to develop and prepare future national security professionals and leaders.
Scholarship recipients receive funding from $3,000 up to $30,000 toward educational expenses, distributed over the first three semesters of their degree program.
Students pursuing the following security-focused degrees are eligible for scholarship consideration:
*Please note: All applicants for the Master's in Biodefense program and applicants for the Master's in International Security program with a GPA under 3.6 must take the GRE by November 15th.
All applicants to the eligible degrees will automatically be considered for the Diana Davis Spencer Foundation Scholarship. In the goals statement for the graduate application, applicants should address their interest in studying national security and pursuing a career in national security, reflecting on the strengths and qualifications that they will contribute to the field.
Applicants to the Master of Public Policy program must declare their emphasis in National Security and Public Policy in their goals statement to be considered.
