The Schar Scholars program aims to foster the study of policy and government at George Mason University. Incoming freshman interested in government, political science, international relations, public policy, pre-law, and public administration are eligible for funding from the Schar Scholars program.
Schar Scholars funding is based upon a mix of merit and financial need so all students should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFSA) to maximize their eligibility for grants, scholarships, work study, and need-based low-interest student loans. For FAFSA deadlines and application details, see How to Apply.
