Persistent race gaps in the teacher workforce limit the academic success of some of our nation’s neediest students. New research quantifies the magnitude of the teacher race gap and points to ways that education policy can more equitably and fairly evaluate teachers, promote teacher diversity and improve student outcomes.

Don’t miss this opportunity to hear Professor of Public Policy and Education and former Virginia Secretary of Education Anne Holton help sort through these issues. She’ll be speaking with Associate Professor of Education and Public Policy Matthew P. Steinberg about how we got into this situation and what public policies could better support educators and students.
