DACOR Bacon House Foundation scholarships

DACOR Bacon House Foundation scholarships are awarded for the purpose of encouraging American students to pursue majors and careers in international affairs. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic worthiness and demonstrated need. Applicants must be US citizens and current full-time Mason undergraduate junior and senior level students

The tuition-only scholarship of $6,000 is transferred directly to the student’s tuition account in equal installments of $3,000 in August and December of award year.

When applying to this scholarship, please submit:

  1. a one page (single-spaced) essay explaining your scholarly and career interests in international affairs. At the top of this page, list your name, G#, and Mason email;
  2. an unofficial transcript;
  3. a letter of recommendation from a Mason faculty member. This letter should support your interest, academic performance, and aptitude for pursuing a career in international affairs. 

Please collect these documents in the order listed above and save as a single file, pdf is preferred. Email as an attachment to Dr. Ann Ludwick at aludwick@gmu.edu.

The Schar Scholars scholarship fund supports Schar School undergraduates and fosters the study of Government, International Politics, and Public Administration at Mason. Incoming freshmen are eligible for the award. Four years of support is awarded to eligible Schar School undergraduate students who remain in good standing.
